Clean Hands: Please wash your hands in the hallway sink before and after spending time with our cats to keep everyone safe and healthy.

No Lifting Rule: Avoid picking up the cats; they prefer approaching you on their own terms. Let them lead the way to snuggles!

Food and Drink Awareness: Keep an eye on your food and drinks—our cats are curious but don’t have the stomach for human snacks. No sharing with our furry friends, please.

Quiet Zone: Keep phones on silent, speaker phone off, and flash off for photos. Our cats and fellow guests appreciate a peaceful atmosphere.

Gentle Voices: Speak softly and move calmly to create a serene environment for everyone.

Let Sleeping Cats Lie: If a cat is napping, please don’t disturb them. Rest is key to keeping them happy and playful.

Respect the Cat Furniture: Please avoid climbing or sitting on furniture meant for the cats.

Positive Vibes Only: We kindly ask that guests showing signs of intoxication save their visit for another time.

Photos: Feel free to snap as many photos as you’d like, just without flash. Let’s keep it comfortable for the cats.

Help Us Stay Tidy: Please throw away any trash before leaving the cat lounge to keep it welcoming for everyone.

Enjoy and Relax: This is a space for relaxation and joy—for you and the cats. Let’s keep it that way!

Important Notes

Allergy Notice: Please enter at your own risk; we aren’t responsible for any allergic reactions.
Coffee and Cats Don’t Mix: Keep your drinks out of reach. Cats don’t need caffeine!
Watch Your Drink: If a cat takes an interest in your beverage, we won’t be able to replace it.

At Snick's Cat Cafe, every reservation is important to us. As a small business, we carefully limit the number of guests in our Cat Lounge to ensure a quality experience for everyone and to support our mission of helping cats find their forever homes.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, we kindly ask that you call us directly at (316) 444-1034. Changes can only be made manually by our team and must be requested at least 24 hours before your scheduled visit. Please note that reservations cannot be adjusted or refunded after this window.

Minimum Age Requirement: The minimum age to enter the Cat Lounge is 7 years old.

Supervision Requirements:
- Children ages 7 to 13 must have an adult present with them at all times in the Cat Lounge. (with signed waivers for each minor)
- For guests aged 14 to 17, an adult’s signature is required for entry.

No Children Under 7: Unfortunately, children under 7 are not permitted in the Cat Lounge.
- If you arrive with a child under 7, they cannot stay unsupervised in the cafe while you visit the lounge, and refunds will not be provided for missed visits.

Special Adoption Meetings: If you are seriously interested in adopting one of our cats, we’re happy to arrange a meet-and-greet for younger children in our adoption room at a scheduled date and time.

Upcoming Kid-Friendly Events: We plan to host special events for children, such as story time and other supervised activities, to provide younger guests an opportunity to enjoy the lounge experience.

Please note: These policies apply only to the Cat Lounge and not the main cafe area.

Cats and kittens, as delightful as they are, are also delicate. They thrive in calm, gentle surroundings and can become stressed by sudden movements or loud noises. While young children are naturally energetic and curious—traits we absolutely adore—our feline friends are more at ease with slow movements, quiet voices, and a gentle touch. Stressful experiences can lead to health issues for cats or even defensive behaviors as they try to protect themselves.

Just like our cats, children grow and develop their understanding of the world around them at their own pace. For instance, children aged 3-4 are still learning impulse control, and spontaneous hugs or grabs, while loving, might startle our cats. As children grow a bit older, around ages 5-7, they begin to understand empathy and are better able to interact with cats in a way that makes everyone feel comfortable. Positive experiences during this stage are essential, as they help our cats feel secure around children and teach young guests how to connect respectfully with animals.

Important for All Visitors

At Snick's Cat Cafe, our primary goal is to provide a safe and calm environment for our cats and a joyful experience for our guests. To ensure this, we have a strict policy regarding behavior in the Cat Lounge, especially for children:

Children must be at least 7 years old to enter the Cat Lounge.
All guests, including children, are expected to treat the cats and the Cat Lounge space with care and respect.
Rough handling of cats, destructive behavior toward toys or furniture, or any behavior that compromises the safety and well-being of the cats or other guests will not be tolerated.

Policy on Misbehavior:

If a child (or adult) is unable to follow these guidelines and engages in destructive or rough behavior, you and your party will be asked to leave the Cat Lounge immediately, and no refunds will be issued.
